I’m actually taking off from school to hear Jourdan. I’ve heard him on TV and am so psyched that he’s finally in the DC area. Excellent job on snagging him, TEDx!

Ahhhhhh! He’s amazing!!! I’ve heard him play twice. I wish I could go. Next year come to New York!

  4. This sounds great. I can’t believe the accomplishments Jourdan has put together in 18 years. I’m very impressed and looking forward to hearing him play. Is he speaking too? I’d love to hear about his journey.

  5. This bio just blows my mind. Where did you find Jourdan and how can I hear his music? I can’t get to the event. Will his talk be taped?

Wow, I saw this performer on Charles Osgood’s Sunday Morning Program and couldn’t believe the things he’s done–not to mention his incredible playing! If I lived closer, I’d be there. Can you make a CD of his performance and sell it on this site? (Make it reasonable, please,’cause we’re students!)

  7. Jourdan rocks, and if I didn’t go to school in NY I’d come for the day just to hear him. Those of us who follow his work think he’s going to make some kind of lasting change in this world, for sure. No wonder he won a Nobel Prize for Child Advocacy!!!

  8. What a CV!I’d like to go just to hear what someone like this sounds like. I think what you’re doing with TEDx is so inspiring. If you can get people like this performer in your line up, you’re doing something right.

  9. Now that’s a powerful youth leader!! Looking forward to watching this performance online. Please make it available.

Jourdan is unbelievable! I’ve been following his career for years and am trying to get down to TEDx to hear him (as long as I don’t have major exams to study for that weekend). It would be a lot easier if you brought him to Richmond to speak and perform. He’s coming to do a benefit concert at the historic Byrd Theater for the Cullather Brain Tumor Center on Nov. 13th, and I’ll definitely be there.

  11. TEDxYSE is so lucky to get Jourdan Urbach! He is very famous in NY and I’d come to hear him speak if I could. I’ve only heard him perform and he’s unbelievable. He has done more in 18 years than most leaders of our country do in a life time. I think it’s kind of monumental that you’re having him speak in DC because he’s going to be a major player in the world one of these days.

  12. Children Helping Children is an amaaaazing organization that helped my dad’s Multiple Sclerosis chapter a lot. Jourdan raised almost $200,000 for our Long Island chapter. He’s a hero to all of us affected in any way by this disease. A lot of home-care services can be provided with that money. Jourdan, we love you!!! Please go into politics and save our health care system!!

  13. Has anyone read about Urbach’s new collegiate venture: International Coalition of College Philanthropists (ICCP)? We don’t have a chapter at Duke, and I’m going to contact him now to see if we can start one. What a great idea!To get all the colleges around the world united in a few major fund raising efforts each year. Smart.

  16. Completely awesome artist-activist!!! Fantastic to read about.

  17. Could he be any more remarkable? I’ve heard about him a lot. Wish I could attend. What a line-up!

  18. I’m getting in touch with Jourdan to create a chapter of International Coalition of College Philanthropists at Brown. He’s amaaaaazing! Will he be talking about that new organization at TEDx?

  19. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! He’s amazing. My whole suite will be watching from USC!

  20. WOW!!! Totally gonna’ see this when it’s online. Outstanding.
